Lang Parker headed west from Wisconsin with the intention to build a dynamic career in film, television, and national commercial campaigns. Known for her sharp comedic timing, instant likability both on and off camera, and strong writing skills, Lang gained national attention on the Emmy-nominated NBC series Last Comic Standing. She memorably floored the judges when she walked onstage in overalls and asked, “Have you ever been mistaken for a lesbian?”
Lang won California’s Funniest Female Contest and is often described as a Jane Lynch–type performer, frequently drawing comparisons to Laurie Metcalf. Her Los Angeles–based comedy show, West of the 405, attracted some of the biggest names in comedy and voted one of the Top 8 Must-Attend Shows on the Westside in Santa Monica.
She performs at clubs and theaters across the United States and internationally, including overseas tours entertaining U.S. armed forces in Afghanistan and at military bases throughout Eastern Asia. Lang’s screen credits include Beverly Hills, 90210, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, a pilot for a major U.S. network, more than 50 national and international commercials, and numerous film and television roles.
